Darkly Dreaming Dexter.

Dexter is an awesome show, so I did a little watercolor illustration of sorts. This one took me weeks to finish only because I couldn't figure out what to do with the shirt area- at first I was going to have him dripping entirely in blood, but when I painted that, it kinda took away from his face and hand, so I applied zinc white acrylic and went over it with some gouache blood spatter.

approx. 15 hours over the span of 3 lazy weeks. not good.
watercolor for the most part, along with some graphite pencil, acrylic and gouache.
